Hendricks County is Truly America's Crossroads

Hendricks County, Indiana, has become one of North America’s logistics hubs because of two factors. First is our county’s central location, putting companies within a day’s drive of most of the U.S. population. Second is the remarkably robust transportation network that connects central Indiana with the world.

Throughout Hendricks County, you’ll have fast access to Interstates 65, 69, 70, 74, and the 465 loop, as well as Interstate-quality Ronald Reagan Parkway (planning is underway to extend it to I-65, shortening trips to Chicago). Class I rail service is available from several CSX lines, with intermodal facilities at the Avon CSX Big Four Yard. Hendricks County is adjacent to Indianapolis International Airport (IND) and its FedEx hub. Corporate aircraft can use Hendricks County Airport-Gordon Graham Field (2R2) and Eagle Creek Airpark (KEYE). Plus, we’re less than half a day from Indiana’s two Ohio River ports and Burns Harbor on Lake Michigan.

Given so much connectivity, it’s no surprise that so many logistics leaders have terminals and operations here. Numerous trucking companies keep goods moving, with trips from the loading dock to the Interstate taking just minutes. Compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling facilities are available, too, helping shippers keep costs under control.
