Hendricks County has long been the capital for motorsports innovation

Hendricks County, Indiana has a long tradition in motorsports, and is home to one of racing’s most-loved drag strips, Lucas Oil Raceway -- with the storied Indianapolis Motor Speedway less than five miles to our east. We’re the longtime home of many of the world’s most competitive race teams, including famous names like John Force Racing and Don Schumacher Racing. To support all those teams and all that racing activity, we have an abundance of companies that serve the motorsports industry with everything from composite product technology, to high-performance engine builders, to precision machining and milling. There’s even a designated motorsports business park in Brownsburg.

With so many motorsports-related companies, Hendricks County has an impressively large workforce of people with the special skills needed by the industry. Local schools and training programs ensure that there’s a steady supply of well-trained folks to keep America’s fastest competitors in championship form.

Racing teams and vendors both appreciate Hendricks County’s connectivity. With our central location, fast access to the nation’s Interstate network, and the convenience of Indianapolis International Airport and its FedEx hub, they can get to the nation’s top tracks quickly and reliably all year long.
