The growth of Hendricks County in recent years has been
phenomenal and today it is the second fastest growing
county in the state. This growth is due in large part
to an intricate network of highway, air and rail transportation
systems available in the Indianapolis metropolitan area.
Hendricks County is served by multiple interstates such
as I-65, I-465, I-74 and I-70 that connect important
destinations across the country.
Air service to locations worldwide is provided
by Indianapolis International Airport, whose new mid-field
terminal will be completed in 2007. The airport was
one of only two in the United States among the worlds
50 largest where cargo traffic grew at a double-digit
rate in 2000.
