Avon Community School Corporation which oversees the
operation of five elementary schools, an intermediate
school (5th and 6th grade), a middle school (7th and
8th grade) and a high school (grades 9-12). The
Avon schools were recently recognized as Indiana "Four
Star" schools by the Indiana Department of Education
by placing in the top 25 percent of all Indiana schools
for its statewide testing scores (ISTEP) and graduation
rate.
The Avon Community School Corporation serves more than
4800 students and provides direction and oversight for
the school district. More than 75% of the Corporation's
staff have advanced degrees.
